Hi friends, thank you so much for stopping by! I took a little break from my dining room makeover to focus my attention on a few holiday crafts. I don’t know about you, but I’m in holiday mode! The past few Christmases I’ve talked myself out of buying a holiday village; they can be pricey, and I never seem to have the extra money to spend this time of year.
When I spotted these poorly painted holiday houses at the Dollar Store, I immediately thought ”white spray paint!”! I snatched up several of them and headed home to give them a makeover.
Once they were painted, they looked a bit plain, so I added some glitter to the areas on the houses that would have ‘snow’; the roofs, steps, window sills, etc.
This is the easiest holiday craft I’ve done in a long time , and the most time-consuming part was waiting for the paint to dry! If you have little ones, they would have fun brushing on the glue and sprinkling the glitter.
I love the way they look and can’t wait to put them out at Christmas time! What do you think of my holiday village makeover? I would love to hear some of your inexpensive holiday craft ideas, you can let me know by leaving me a comment below.
Thanks for stopping by!
