Caramel Apple Cider
I don’t know about you but I am thoroughly enjoying every single bit of the Fall season! My home is all decorated and cozy, the weather has finally cooled down, and I’m consuming mass amounts of pumpkin spice everything. So much, in fact, that I decided to give myself a little break from my daily latte, for fear of pumpkin spice burnout, and try something different, but still seasonal. Enter the Caramel Apple Cider in all of it’s cinnamon infused glory. It’s delicious, nutritious (it’s made with apples, right?), and easy to prepare. The base of this drink is a cinnamon flavored simple syrup that whips-up quick on the stove top, and can be stored in the fridge for a couple of weeks.

- 12 oz. apple juice or cider
- Caramel sauce (for drizzling on top, optional)
- Whipped cream
- 4 tbs Cinnamon Simple Syrup
- ½ c granulated sugar
- ½ c brown sugar
- 1 c water
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- Add sugars to a small saucepan
- Add water and stir well.
- Bring to a low boil, stirring continuously, then remove from heat.
- Add cinnamon and stir well.
- Cool, then transfer to a jar or other storage container.
- Syrup will store in the fridge for a few weeks.
Enjoy!
