A Simple Spring Refresh
Happy Monday friends! Does anyone else feel like the weekends go by way too fast? Even though that’s definitely the case around here, I’m happy to be done with last week, and onto a fresh, new week. My little family is in a very busy “season” right now so we’re all a bit worn down, and we’ve been battling illnesses most of the winter, as I’m sure most of you have been, too. Well, last week the stomach flu decided to stop by and make itself at home. I’m telling you, I haven’t been that sick in a long, long time! I usually trooper through most illnesses, but this thing had me down for the count! My poor hubby got it at the same time, and both kiddos were still recuperating from colds, so we were a mess!
Anyways, we’re all feeling much better now, and I’m so happy to get back into my regular routine.
Before the flu took me down, I had started on some Spring updates around my house. I didn’t do anything drastic; just took down the winter touches and added some florals and pops of green.
The seashells came back out; they just feel so fresh and will transition easily into summer decor in the next couple of months.
The other side of the entryway didn’t change much. The painting and wreath stayed – I really like them and think they work well with the “Spring” theme. I added a touch of greenery and a little metal sign, and called it a day.
I added a few faux boxwoods and some florals to the entertainment console, to lighten it up a bit.
The sofa got a couple of new throw pillows in fun prints for a little refresh without spending much money. These prints are a little outside of my comfort zone, but it’s a small risk I’m willing to take.
I didn’t quite make it to the dining room with my Spring refresh, but hopefully I can get to it this week. It just feels so nice to say goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring, and to have the change of seasons reflected in my home. How about you? Do you change your decor with the seasons?
Until next time,

I’m so behind with checking in on my favorite blogs – I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!
You style is always so pretty and well put together. There are some perfect touches of spring in your house! (And I can totally sympathize with your recent illness….I was also sicker than I’ve ever been with the flu about a month ago. Three days spent on the couch not eating just about did me in! Glad you’re feeling better!

Thanks so much, Deb! The console table was a Craigslist find that hubby and I refinished! There are no markings on it, so I really have no idea who the maker is. So sorry I couldn’t help you…
darn! was going to ask if there was any way to tell the brand of your media console– it’s PERFECT!
Visiting from Marty’s feature of your the spring décor on your entertainment console – just love what you have done! The colours, the pieces, the placement and the height variation are all so pleasing to the eye. The other areas of your home are beautifully decorated as well! So glad I stopped by!

I was wondering what color paint that you have in the entryway. Looks like a light green..?
Hi Tami; the wall color is Revere Pewter from Benjamin Moore – it is actually gray. Hope that helps!
Hello! I know this post is over a year old, but I would love to know where you purchased most of the decor for the TV console area. I am not so great at decorating but I know what I love when I see it…and I LOVE what you’ve done with the console. I am specifically trying to decorate my console area and am hoping to find similar pieces to what you’ve chosen.
I love the frosted glass jugs. Where did you find those? I also love the stool. I had planned to place a basket with blankets beside my console, but I love it even more on top of a stool. Any places or links to direct me would be wonderful! I’m thinking Hobby Lobby or Home Goods for some of it….
Everything is simply stunning!

Hi Candace, thank you so much for your sweet comments regarding my “spring” entertainment console. The frosted glass vase was purchased at Target. I’m not sure they carry it anymore, but you might try their website. The galvanized tray, topiaries and baskets (wicker and wire) were HomeGoods finds, and the candlesticks were from TJ Maxx. The wooden crate on the bottom shelf is a vintage find. I frequent HomeGood and TJ Maxx (as you can tell!) and see similar pieces often. I hope this helps – good luck with your search!
I forgot to mention the stool! I actually found that beauty on the side of the road! I see them frequently at antique shops, so you may want to try there, otherwise Target offers a modern version in different colors. hi where did you get the tv stand?
The console was a Craigslist find. I’m not sure who the maker is, as there are no tags/marks…
I would love to know where you purchased this TV console from. It’s beautiful!
Hi Katie- the console was a Craigslist find. Unfortunately there are no tags/marks on it so I don’t know who the manufacturer is…
