DIY Beachy Sisal Rope Vase

DIY Beachy Sisal Rope Vase | Home Remedies

As you probably know by now, I love simple, inexpensive projects that can be completed quickly, but still look like a million bucks. This is one of those projects. To be honest, this vase was my orignial idea for July’s Home Depot Monthly Gift Challenge, but I decided to go with the Sisal Rope Artwork, instead. I still really liked this project, and since I had some leftover sisal rope, I decided to go ahead and make it anyway.

Here are the supplies needed:

Tin can (you can also use a jar)

Natural sisal rope, 3/8″, enough length to cover your can/jar

Glue gun/glue

The process was super simple. Starting at the top, I glued about three to four inches of rope at a time and then pressed it onto the can, holding it for a few seconds before letting go.  As I started to stack the rope, I added glue to the inside of the rope and the top so that it would stick to the piece above it.   This helped ensured that there weren’t any visable gaps in the rope. When you get to the bottom, just cut your rope and tuck it in as best you can, so it looks as seamless as possible.

This project took less than twenty minutes, from start to finish, and I’m going to enjoy the end result for years to come! What do you think of my beachy sisal rope vase? Is this something you would use in your home?

Have a wonderful week my friends; don’t forget to stop back by tomorrow for Talented Tuesdays!
