DIY Faux Metal Sphere
If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably noticed I’m a little bit obsessed with my new pair of World Market bookshelves that I picked up off Craigslist for a steal. Last week I shared Five Tips for Easy Bookshelf Styling, geared toward the budget conscience, using mostly things you already have in your home. Now I’m going to show you an easy DIY project that you can make yourself and use for inexpensive bookshelf display.
Heres what you’ll need to make your own DIY Faux Metal Sphere:
Two 12″ embroidery hoops (these can be found at any craft store)
Black matte spray paint
The process couldn’t be easier! The embroidery hoops pull apart into two pieces, leaving a total of four pieces. Take your black spray paint and give each piece a good coat. Let dry. Once dry, assemble the pieces as shown in the pictures, then tighten the screws. That’s it! Seriously, this project took less than 15 minutes and cost me less than $10.oo, with plenty of paint left to use on another project.
What do you think of my DIY faux metal sphere? Super simple, right? I’d love to hear your thoughts; you can connect with me on Instagram, Facebook, or in the comments below. Have a lovely day!
