Candied Christmas Crunch
I don’t know about you, but the change of seasons has made me want to “cozy in” and do some holiday baking! I know its a bit early for Christmas recipes, but while my family was helping me go through my recipes in search of some Thanksgiving dessert ideas, they came across this super yummy Candied Christmas Crunch recipe, and asked if I would help them make it. I love that my kids are old enough to cook and bake themselves, but they still ask me for “help”- I’m pretty sure that’s their way of saying they want to spend a little time with me! In this busy “season” of life, with one kid in college, and one in high school, I’m more than happy to set aside whatever time they want! And even better if we can spend it together in the kitchen, baking and making memories!

- 2 bags of popped, unsalted microwave popcorn
- 1 (12 oz) bag Vanilla Candy Melts
- 2 cups salted pretzels
- 1 (12 oz) bag Peppermint M&Ms (you can also use regular red and green M&M's).
- Holiday sprinkles
- Pop popcorn in the microwave, then allow to cool for a few minutes. Carefully remove any unpopped kernels and discard them. In a large bowl, toss together popcorn, pretzels and M&M's. In a small, microwave safe bowl, melt vanilla candy melts in 30 second intervals, for a total of 1 minute, 30 seconds. Carefully remove bowl from microwave. Drizzle half of the melted chips over the popcorn mixture, then gently mix with a large spoon or spatula. Drizzle remaining half of melted chips over popcorn mixture and gently mix until evenly coated. Spoon mixture onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Add sprinkles. Allow to harden, then gently break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
